eXroid® is a minimally invasive electrotherapy treatment for internal haemorrhoids. It uses a low electrical current applied to the base of the haemorrhoid to reduce its blood supply, allowing it to shrink gradually.

The procedure does not involve cutting, stitching or heat and is normally performed in an outpatient setting without a general anaesthetic. It may be suitable for patients experiencing bleeding, discomfort, itching or prolapsing internal haemorrhoids.

Before treatment, your consultant will assess your symptoms and confirm whether eXroid® is the most appropriate option for you. Some patients may require more than one treatment session.
